In the Old Testament passage Ecclesiastes 3:1-11, God reminds us that there is a rhythm and timing for everything in life. After much thought and prayer, the Board of Directors of Third Street Education Center reached the conclusion that we are nearing the end of the season for our Business Workforce Development Ministry (BWD) only.

Third Street Education Center was created in 2012 with the mission to provide academic excellence, character development, and spiritual formation to young men in grades pre-k through middle school. BWD was created in 2014 to create a bridge to gainful employment for individuals challenged by former addictions or legal issues and an income source for Third Street Academy. Since then, BWD has grown to include landscaping, auto detailing, and catering. 

The consensus of the Board of Directors is that we are not able to commit to a pursuit of excellence within both divisions, so we will be focusing our undivided attention to our initial calling—building an extraordinary Christian education experience for young men. Accordingly, effective January 1, 2023, Third Street Education Center will cease operating its BWD division.  

We are incredibly grateful to our staff members employed on our landscaping, catering, and auto detailing teams for their hard work and dedication. We are also thankful to the many donors and customers who provided the resources to serve our BWD employees re-entering the workforce.  

Soon we will begin selling our BWD equipment and using the proceeds to provide employment assistance to our current employees and further the mission of Third Street Academy. We continue to be dedicated to the mission God has laid before us: to transform generations through the power of the gospel.
